BALTIMORE -- The countdown for Orioles fans has reached single digits.
Spring Training 2026 is almost here. Orioles pitchers and catchers are set to report next week, with other players likely to show up ahead of the scheduled workouts. It’ll be the first camp run by new manager Craig Albernaz, who aims to lead Baltimore to a bounceback season after the club’s disappointing ‘25.
Here’s everything to know for Orioles Spring Training.
When is the first workout for pitchers and catchers?
Pitchers and catchers must report by Feb. 10, with the first workout scheduled for Feb. 11.
What is the date of the first full-squad workout?
Feb. 16.
Where is the team’s facility?
The Orioles’ facilities are located in Sarasota, Fla., at Ed Smith Stadium, the team’s Spring Training home since 2010.
Can fans attend workouts?
Yes. On days without home games, workouts will take place from approximately 9 a.m.-1 p.m. ET on the backfields. On days of home games, they’ll be from approximately 9-11 a.m. ET. All will be open to fans.
Fans can park in the East Lot (free on days without games, standard parking rates on days of home games).
Who are some new faces fans should know?
The Orioles’ biggest offseason move was the signing of slugging first baseman Pete Alonso, who inked a five-year deal worth $155 million. The 31-year-old comes to Baltimore after spending his first seven MLB seasons with the Mets.

Baltimore acquired outfielder Taylor Ward from the Angels and right-handed starter Shane Baz from the Rays in trades. The Orioles also signed right-handed closer Ryan Helsley (two years, $28 million) and veteran outfielder Leody Taveras (one year, $2 million) as free agents.
Who are some of the top prospects invited to Major League camp?
The Orioles have not yet announced their non-roster invitees, but their top two prospects (catcher Samuel Basallo and outfielder Dylan Beavers) are on the 40-man roster after debuting in the Majors last year. Basallo (MLB Pipeline’s No. 8 overall prospect) and Beavers (No. 69) should make the club’s Opening Day roster.
Outfielder Enrique Bradfield Jr. (the Orioles’ No. 4 prospect) should be in big league camp for the second consecutive year, while right-handers Trey Gibson (No. 9) and Nestor German (No. 11) are likely to be among the first-timers. It’s also possible that 2025 Draft picks Ike Irish (No. 3) and Wehiwa Aloy (No. 5) will be among the invitees.
When is the team’s first Grapefruit League game?
The Orioles open their spring schedule on Feb. 20, when they’ll host the Yankees at Ed Smith Stadium at 1:05 p.m. ET.
What are a few other notable spring games?
Baltimore will play 30 games while in Florida. The Orioles will play twice in nearby Bradenton vs. the Pirates (Feb. 27 and March 14), which is a popular trip for fans because of its proximity.
The Orioles will travel to East Florida for exhibitions against the Cardinals (March 9 in Jupiter) and Astros (March 10 in West Palm Beach). They’ll also play the Netherlands’ national team on March 3 in Sarasota ahead of the World Baseball Classic.
What is the Spring Breakout, and when is the game?
MLB is again holding a four-day prospect showcase featuring baseball’s future stars. A series of 16 exhibitions will be played from March 19-22 between teams of every organization’s top prospects.
Baltimore’s top prospects will play Boston’s on March 20 at 6:05 p.m. ET at Ed Smith Stadium.

The full Orioles Spring Training broadcast schedule can be found here.
When is the club’s last game in Florida?

What are the details for Opening Day?
The Orioles will open the 2026 campaign vs. the Twins on March 26 at 3:05 p.m. at Camden Yards. It’s only the second time in eight years they will begin a season at home, which they most recently did in ‘24 against the Angels.
Baltimore is 4-1 in Opening Day matchups against Minnesota. The teams faced off in openers in 2012, ‘16 and ‘18 -- all at Camden Yards, and all won by the Orioles.
