BALTIMORE -- Has any Orioles player hit a 500-foot home run before? Not since Statcast tracking was launched in 2015, providing more accurate data for tape-measure shots.
However, quite a few O’s sluggers have belted impressive homers since then.
Here’s a look at the 10 longest Baltimore home runs tracked by Statcast.
1. Jonathan Schoop: 484 feet vs. Royals, Aug. 26, 2015
Schoop crushed a 1-2 cutter from right-hander Johnny Cueto and deposited it deep into the left-field seats. The 110.6 mph blast marks the longest Statcast-tracked home run to be hit at Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium.
2. Keon Broxton: 474 feet vs. Rockies, May 24, 2019
Although Broxton hit only 39 home runs during a five-year MLB career -- four of which came during a 37-game stint with the Orioles in 2019 -- he ranks high on this list, thanks to this homer off a first-pitch fastball from Jeff Hoffman that traveled through the thin air at Denver’s Coors Field. It was also the first pitch Broxton saw after joining the O’s.

3. Ryan Mountcastle: 472 feet vs. Astros, Aug. 8, 2023
From 2022-24, no player lost more home runs to the Camden Yards “Walltimore” field dimensions than Mountcastle. But the walls couldn’t contain this monster blast off left-hander Framber Valdez, which ranks as the second-longest Statcast-tracked homer to be hit at Baltimore’s home ballpark. (Houston’s Carlos Correa hit a 474-foot home run on Aug. 10, 2019.)

4. Manny Machado: 470 feet vs. Yankees, April 28, 2017
Entering 2026, Machado had 369 home runs through his first 14 MLB seasons. The three longest of his career to that point all came with the Orioles during a 36-day stretch in 2017. (Spoiler alert: The other two will be coming quite soon on this list.)
Machado’s longest home run was a mammoth blast off Hall of Famer CC Sabathia that made him the first player to homer over the center-field restaurant at new Yankee Stadium.

5. Manny Machado: 466 feet vs. Red Sox, May 4, 2017
Machado has the type of power that he can hit balls over the Green Monster and out of Fenway Park -- and that’s what he did on this huge homer off right-hander Kyle Kendrick.

6. Manny Machado: 465 feet vs. Red Sox, June 2, 2017
The longest home run hit by Machado at Camden Yards reached the second deck in left field, as he mauled a sinker from right-hander Rick Porcello in the first inning of this contest.

7. Austin Hays: 464 feet vs. Cubs, June 7, 2022
Of all the home runs on this list, the longest of Hays’ MLB career may be the coolest to watch. It was pouring rain at Camden Yards when the outfielder connected on a changeup from right-hander Alec Mills and sent it to the second deck in left field.

T-8. Jonathan Schoop: 462 feet vs. Twins, July 8, 2017
Schoop makes a second appearance on this list. Although his second-longest homer in orange may not have been quite as far, it was still impressive, as he crushed a changeup from left-hander Adalberto Mejía and sent it to the third deck at Target Field in Minneapolis.

T-8. Gunnar Henderson: 462 feet vs. Royals, June 11, 2023
Here’s the first Eutaw Street home run to make it onto the list. Henderson swatted this homer off right-hander Jackson Kowar, then joked afterward about how he may hit even longer home runs once he reached his “man-strength phase.”
