On innings limit, Bundy not shut down yet

TORONTO -- Dylan Bundy isn't slated to get a start this weekend in New York, but Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Thursday the rookie isn't being shut down.
"He told me today he's got 109 2/3 innings. So, he knows," Showalter said of Bundy, who could be used in relief for the team's final four regular-season games. "I go, 'You counting Spring Training?' He goes, 'No, do I have to?'"
Bundy, who is 10-6 with a 4.02 ERA in 36 games (14 starts), hasn't pitched more than 100 innings since 2012. Though if Baltimore, which entered Thursday a game up for the second American League Wild Card, makes the postseason, Bundy could get a start.
"Yeah, we have a number [of innings in mind], and if he pitches every fifth day in the playoffs, that would be the number," Showalter said. "He can play all the way to the end of the year."
