Goldy hits first homer, notches four RBIs

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Paul Goldschmidt drove home four runs to help lead the D-backs past the Dodgers, 15-3, on Friday afternoon at Salt River Fields.
Dodgers second baseman Logan Forsythe, who missed three consecutive games while allowing a series of lubricating injections in his right knee to take effect, went 2-for-3 in his return to the lineup.
Goldschmidt hit a two-run homer in the first inning, his first of the spring, and drove home another two in the third with a bases-loaded single to right.

D-backs ace Zack Greinke made his spring debut and held his former teammates scoreless over 1 2/3 frames on one hit. Of his 33 pitches, 17 were strikes.
"I thought it was all right," Greinke said. "I guess typical first outing. A little sloppy, some OK stuff, but just a little rusty."

Dodgers starter Brandon McCarthy made his first appearance of the spring. The right-hander pitched well outside of a single up the middle by Daniel Descalso and Goldschmidt's home run.

The D-backs put together a five-run third off Edward Paredes and Fabio Castillo. In the eighth, Arizona erupted for eight more runs to blow the game open.
"I think Fabio pitched better than the line score," Roberts said. "He's still working with our guys on some things. We're trying to chase results with him and keep his confidence."
Dodgers up next:Kenta Maeda makes his second Cactus League start on Saturday at 12:05 p.m. PT in Mesa against the Cubs, while Hyun Jin Ryu remains at Camelback Ranch-Glendale to pitch a simulated game in what could be the final tune-up before his Cactus League debut.
