Phillies' massive new sundae comes with a fried PB&J
There's not much better than ice cream in a mini helmet at the ballpark. But if you go to a Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park this season, you can level up that simple pleasure into something supreme.
Behold, the "Schwarbomb Sundae."
Named after the power-hitting Kyle Schwarber, this delicacy packs a wallop all its own. Check this: soft-serve ice cream topped with a strawberry Uncrustable -- fried funnel-cake style, of course -- plus strawberry sauce and fruity cereal pieces. And it all comes piled high in a 2026 All-Star Game mini helmet.
The Schwarbomb is one of three player-inspired foodstuffs the Phillies announced for the upcoming season, also including the Sánchez Sliders (two fried chicken sliders topped with pickles, aioli and hot honey and named after one of Cristopher Sánchez's best pitches) and The Sweeper (a ribeye steak covered in pizza sauce, provolone cheese and pepperoni, conceived in collaboration with southpaw Jesús Luzardo).
Portions of the proceeds from all three items will go to charities dear to each of the three related players: Clínica de Familia, a nonprofit community healthcare clinic in Sánchez’s hometown of La Romana; Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes, which directly supports first responders, military personnel and their families; and The Luzardo Family Foundation, directly benefitting children’s health and wellness and underserved community programs
