Phils receive Sanchez to complete trade with Nats

PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies announced on Monday they have acquired right-hander Mario Sanchez from the Nationals. The acquisition of Sanchez completes a Nov. 22 trade which sent right-hander Jimmy Cordero to Washington for a player to be named later.
Sanchez, 22, is 20-11 with a 3.89 ERA in 105 appearances (13 starts) in five Minor League seasons. He went 5-0 with a 3.46 ERA in 32 appearances last season with Class A Advanced Potomac.
The Phillies designated Cordero for assignment Nov. 18.
