Pipeline Preview: Meadows continuing to heat up

Here's a look at top prospects to watch in today's Minor League action:
Hitter to watch: Austin Meadows (Pirates' No. 1), Indianapolis vs. Toledo (7:05 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Meadows, the No. 6 overall prospect, put together his fourth three-hit game of the season on Sunday as he went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI. Meadows, who is batting .260 through 52 games, got off to a slow start this season but started to pick things up in May, when he hit .300 in 27 games. Meadows has kept it up so far in June, albeit in a small sample size, by batting .313 (5-for-16).

Pitcher to watch: Mike Soroka (Braves' No. 4), Mississippi vs. Biloxi (8 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Soroka, the No. 67 overall prospect, has impressed in his first season at Double-A, posting a 3.13 ERA through his first starts. Soroka has nearly struck out a batter per inning for the M-Braves (he's racked up 51 strikeouts in 54 1/3 innings) and only issued 15 walks. He allowed 11 hits and three runs in his previous outing, the only start this year in which he did not strike a batter out.

Duel of the Day: Justin Dunn (Mets' No. 3) vs. Touki Toussaint (Braves' No. 11), St. Lucie vs. Florida (7:05 p.m. ET)
Dunn carries an eight-inning scoreless streak that dates back to May 17 into Monday's start. The 21-year-old has a 5.36 ERA through 10 appearances this season but has thrown well in each of his past three starts, including tossing three no-hit innings on May 24.

While Dunn seemingly righted the ship, Toussaint is still looking to get back on track. Toussaint has lost his past six decisions and hasn't earned a win since his first start of the year on April 10. The 20-year-old has given up eight runs over his past 11 innings, but he will look to remedy that against St. Lucie.
