PEORIA -- Collin Cowgill's two-run double paced the Padres to their second come-from-behind victory over the D-backs in three days.
After San Diego had fallen behind early, Cowgill's fifth-inning rocket broke a tie and sent the Padres to a 6-5 win on Saturday.
D-backs left-hander Patrick Corbin allowed two runs over three innings in his second outing of the spring. He was sharp through two, before surrendering back-to-back triples in the third to Jose Pirela and Travis Jankowski. Both would come around to score.

For the Padres, Jarred Cosart pitched one scoreless frame in his spring debut, needing 15 pitches as he worked around a leadoff walk. The right-hander had offseason surgery to remove a bone spur from his pitching elbow. He says it has allowed him to finish stronger in his delivery.

"They're going to have me on a slower progression," said Cosart, who is battling for a rotation spot. "But we've still got a lot of time. I think they're just kind of playing it out, making sure everything's good. So far, everything is beyond expectations for me. With the surgery, I was a little bit on the fence. I didn't know how everything was going to react and respond coming into spring. But I've had no issues."
Christian Bethancourt -- who is continuing his transition into a catcher/pitcher hybrid -- also took the mound for the Friars. He pitched a scoreless sixth inning and allowed only a walk -- which was promptly erased when Rule 5 catcher Luis Torrens caught A.J. Pollock trying to steal.
Pollock reached base three times -- on a hit and a pair of walks. So too did second baseman Brandon Drury, who finished 3-for-4.
