Pokémon GO, MLB collaboration is back for 2026
Calling all baseball-loving Pokémon GO Trainers!
For the second straight season, MLB and Pokémon GO are partnering to bring unique ballpark experiences within the massively popular augmented-reality mobile game, which allows players to catch Pokémon in real-world locations. Just as in 2025, all 30 MLB parks will feature club-branded PokéStops, Gyms and Official Routes.
Select clubs will additionally host their own Pokémon GO-themed games throughout the season. Trainers can get their hands on club-specific caps for their in-game avatar by spinning a ballpark PokéStop during these themed games, starting April 22 and running through Sept. 30. Participating clubs will also have club-branded Pokémon GO merchandise included in special ticket packages, subject to availability.
Keep an eye out for these special promotions, where Trainers may be able to participate in the following in-game events:
- Raid Battles where Trainers have a chance to catch Pikachu with a Location Background.
- Activated Lure Modules will last for one hour and may attract certain Pokémon like Abra, Machop, Cubone and more.
- Event-themed Timed Research in which Trainers can earn Stardust, XP, regular Lure Modules, encounters with event-themed Pokémon and more.
- Field Research Task Rewards from spinning PokéStops within the ballpark.
