Psy to headline Home Run Derby X in Seoul

You know his name. You know his music. You know his dance moves by heart. Yes, Psy, who became the first person -- much less recording artist -- to reach one billion views on YouTube for his smash hit, "Gangnam Style," will be headlining FTX MLB Home Run Derby X in Seoul on Sept. 17.

Psy's performance will come on the heels of his seven-city Summer Swag 2022 tour that ends on Aug. 20. Joining the K-Pop star to help close out the baseball festival will be the singer-songwriter Crush, who won the R&B artist of the year in 2020 at the Korean hip-hop awards, and the pop artist Heize, who recently won the Bonsang Award at the Seoul Music Awards.

Of course, the musicians won't be the only ones on stage. That's because in Home Run Derby X, the batters hit from a raised platform, launching home runs into the adoring, baseball-hungry crowd. Alongside the MLB Legends, women's baseball and softball stars, and the four Wild Cards -- including Korean speedskater and internet sensation Yoongy Kwak -- four of the greatest players in Korean baseball history will be joining the roster for the Seoul event.

The Yankees won the first event in London, so the Red Sox, Dodgers, and Cubs will be looking to climb the standings before heading to Mexico for the third and final event in October.
