R.B.I. Baseball 21 gameplay trailer released
As Spring Training games get underway around Arizona and Florida, it's also time to get our first glimpse of MLB's newest edition of R.B.I. Baseball. A gameplay trailer for R.B.I. Baseball '21 was released Monday, highlighting some of the newest features of the game, which will be available for the Xbox family of devices, PS4, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices on March 16.
White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson graces the cover of this year's game, which offers new in-demand features such as play-by-play commentary by MLB Network's Fran Charles, create-a-player mode that enables a player to build the ultimate five-tool star, individual Statcast data for every pitcher that models real-life form and pitches, progressive time-of-day scenarios such as afternoon to twilight to evening, increased customization options ranging from batting controls to camera angles and a new online play option for head-to-head matchups with Nintendo Switch.
Many of the new features for the game were developed based on requests from the R.B.I. Baseball community. Another special element to this year's release is an exclusive run of Topps Tim Anderson Foil Cards that are included free for those who pre-order from Target or Walmart. The game is also available for preorder at GameStop.
