After rough week, Dyson comes back strong

ARLINGTON -- Rangers closer Sam Dyson saw one big difference between his outing in Sunday's 8-1 win over the A's and his two previous appearances against the Indians last week.
"Yeah, I got out of the inning, that's all," Dyson said.
It wasn't a save situation, but Dyson was able to finish out the win without any trouble. He struck out Marcus Semien, walked Rajai Davis and then got Ryon Healy to ground into a game-ending double play.
Dyson allowed eight runs over his first two outings against the Indians on Monday and Wednesday. Both times, he was unable to pitch a full inning.
"It's nice not to get pulled during a game and get through a full inning," Dyson said. "It's a step in the right direction."
So, what changed for Dyson?
"I can't tell you any secrets," Dyson said. "Some days I get outs, some days I don't. There is no mystery.
"Today, I was executing pitches at the bottom of the zone and got outs."
