Rays-Phillies finale start time moved to 2:30 p.m. ET

The start of today's Rays vs. Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park has been moved up from 3:05 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET due to the weather forecast for later this afternoon and evening. The earlier start is intended to provide the best opportunity to play today's game without interruption.

Gate openings will remain unchanged: the Third Base/Left Field Gates will open at 12:35 p.m., with all other gates opening at 1:35 p.m.

Game 162 will be paramount for the hosting Phillies, who can clinch the final NL Wild Card berth with a win. Should Philadelphia fall to the AL's top-seeded Rays, the Phillies would need a loss from the Diamondbacks against the Padres (scheduled for a 3:10 p.m. ET start) to earn a playoff spot. If the Phillies lose and Arizona wins, the D-backs would clinch the postseason berth.

Either the Phillies or the Diamondbacks will enter as the National League's sixth seed and will face the Braves in a three-game Wild Card Series in Atlanta beginning Tuesday.
