Remy signs multiyear deal to remain in NESN booth

Red Sox color analyst Jerry Remy has agreed to a multiyear contract to continue in that role for NESN, the club's television home.
Remy, 64, will be entering his 30th year as NESN color analyst for Red Sox games, and he will be part of the network's broadcast team for 115 games each season.
"I'm very excited and pleased to be able to continue doing the job that I love, now heading into my 30th year and beyond with NESN," Remy said. "I want to thank NESN and the Red Sox for all their support in the past and going forward."
Prior to moving into the broadcast booth, Remy was a Major League second baseman for 10 seasons from 1975-84, playing the final seven years of his career with the Red Sox. He was an All-Star in '78, his first season with Boston.
