Sandoval day to day with right knee sprain

BALTIMORE -- Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval left Sunday's 6-2 win over the Orioles with a right knee sprain and is considered day to day.
The announcement came after Sandoval exited in the middle of the seventh inning, replaced by outfielder Steve Selsky.
Boston's infield is already shorthanded with Dustin Pedroia out for a second straight game due to knee and ankle injuries suffered in Friday's loss to the O's. Infielder Josh Rutledge (hamstring) is on a rehab assignment at Triple-A Pawtucket.
Sandoval finished 0-for-2 with a walk.
