CINCINNATI -- The Reds added a pair of relievers to their 40-man roster via waiver claims on Monday by getting right-handed pitcher Duncan Davitt from the Giants and right-hander Paxton Schultz from the Nationals.

Cincinnati's 40-man roster is now at 37 players.

Davitt, 27, made his big league debut during the 2026 season and posted a 7.88 ERA with the White Sox and Giants. Over 32 games combined at the Double-A and Triple-A levels, he had a 6.04 ERA.

After opening the season in Chicago, Davitt was traded to the Braves for catcher Joey Bart on Aug. 3 and then claimed off waivers by San Francisco on Sept. 9.

Schultz, 28, was 1-2 with a 6.40 ERA in 27 appearances -- including one start -- with Washington while working 32 1/3 innings. He spent 2025 with the Blue Jays, where he had a 4.38 ERA over 13 games, including two starts.
