Pipeline Preview: Trammell leads Dragons in Game 1

Here's a look at top prospects to watch in today's Minor League action:
Hitter to watch: Taylor Trammell (Reds' No. 3), Dayton vs. West Michigan (7 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Trammell, MLB Pipeline's No. 75 overall prospect, and Class A Dayton will take on West Michigan in Game 1 of the Midwest League Eastern Division Series. Selected 35th overall in the 2016 Draft, Trammell put himself on the map in his full-season debut by slashing .281/.368/.450 with 37 extra-base hits including 13 home second in the circuit with 77 RBIs (tied), 71 walks and 41 stolen bases.

Duel of the day: A.J. Puk (A's No. 2) vs. Enyel De Los Santos (Padres' No. 13), Midland at San Antonio (8:05 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Puk, No. 38 on MLB Pipeline's Top 100, was a tough-luck loser in his last start for Double-A Midland despite matching his career high with 13 strikeouts in six innings. The performance gave Puk, the sixth-overall Draft pick in 2016, 184 strikeouts for the season, third most among Minor Leagues. Overall, he pitched to a 4.03 ERA with a .227 opponents' average in 125 innings (27 games/24 starts) across two levels in his first full season.

De Los Santos struggled in his final regular-season tune-up with San Antonio, allowing seven runs (four earned) on a season-high 12 hits in six innings. The 21-year-old right-hander had a strong campaign overall, though, going 10-6 with a 3.78 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP over 24 starts (26 appearances). Working 150 innings, De Los Santos compiled 138 strikeouts and 48 walks while holding hitters to a .237 clip.
