CINCINNATI -- Left-handed reliever Robby Scott's tenure was the Reds proved to be very brief -- 11 days.
Cincinnati traded Scott to the D-backs on Sunday for cash. He was claimed off waivers by the Reds on Dec. 10 before being designated for assignment on Dec. 21, following the seven-player trade with the Dodgers that netted Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp, Alex Wood and Kyle Farmer.
Scott, 29, appeared in nine games for the Red Sox last season, going 0-1 with an 8.10 ERA in 6 2/3 innings. He pitched in 57 games as a rookie in 2017, all in relief, and went 2-1 with a 3.79 ERA in 35 2/3 innings.
