PHOENIX -- Robbie Ray's two dominant starts last week earned the D-backs left-hander National League Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Ray was 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA with a Major League-leading 18 strikeouts in wins over the Mets and Padres.
"To be even considered for it is a great honor. I'm thankful for it," Ray said of becoming the second D-backs player, along with third baseman Jake Lamb, to earn the award this season. "It's a boost of confidence, and I'll continue to build off the success I've had and just stay focused coming down the stretch."

D-backs outfielder Yasmany Tomás also was considered for the award after batting .259 with four home runs and nine RBIs.
