Cano got lost driving home before home opener
Mets star second baseman Robinson Canó got lost on his way home after the club landed in New York from Miami early Thursday morning ahead of its home opener, according to the New York Post.
Cano's GPS reportedly failed him and he was forced to switch apps in order to get accurate directions back to his home, where he didn't arrive until about 5 a.m. ahead of the Mets' 1 p.m. game against the Nationals, which New York lost, 4-0.
In his first season with the Mets following nine in New York with the Yankees and five with the Mariners, Cano got off to a good start with a homer on Opening Day, but has struggled since, batting .188 (6-for-32) after going 0-for-3 on Thursday.
