Castro dealing with shoulder inflammation

CINCINNATI -- Rockies righty reliever Miguel Castro did not pitch in any of the three games against the Reds because of right shoulder inflammation, and manager Walt Weiss said whether to place him on the 15-day disabled list "is a decision we'll have to make."
Under normal circumstances, Castro was a ninth-inning option in Wednesday's 6-5 loss, which the Reds won with three hits off Christian Bergman.
Castro -- the Rockies' 15th-ranked prospect -- has eight strikeouts against two hits and two walks in six innings, and has a 1.50 ERA. But he said he felt the soreness after a dominant eighth inning of a 2-0 Rockies victory over the Cubs on Sunday. Castro pitched a clean eighth with a one-run lead.

"I have inflammation, and it's just not perfect, and I'll do what I need to do to get it better," Castro said through an interpreter.
