Held to 1 hit through 8, Rox rally to force extras
MILWAUKEE -- Three outs from completing a combined one-hitter in Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the visiting Rockies on Thursday, the Brewers were pushed to extra innings as Jeremy Jeffress surrendered two runs on three hits in the top of the ninth.
Singles by Gerardo Parra, Matt Holliday and Charlie Blackmon opened the inning, and a key error by Brewers shortstop Orlando Arcia opened the door for more damage from the Rockies, who tied it at 2 on Nolan Arenado's sac fly to center.
Milwaukee was sent down in order in the bottom of the ninth by Adam Ottavino.
