Marlins' spring ballpark debuts renovations

JUPITER, Fla. – The Marlins Jupiter Academy isn’t the only newly renovated digs for the organization this spring.

This week, Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium debuted a new look in time for Grapefruit League action.

Here are the three major upgrades to Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium:

Jupiter Medical Center Champions Club (second level)

Hot Corner Bar (first level)

The Champions Club and Hot Corner reside where the third-base-side bleachers used to be and combine for 8,000-square feet.

Other stadium enhancements include a new sound system and LED ribbon boards above both bullpens, a renovated visiting clubhouse, expanded locker rooms to support umpires and other major events, press box and press level improvements and updated administrative space and offices.

Additional projects, including public art installations on the plaza, will continue once Spring Training concludes.

Fans attending games for the Marlins’ Single-A affiliate, the Jupiter Hammerheads, at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium will also be able to enjoy the updates during the Florida State League.
