No catch? No problem. Acuña nails Bichette

ATLANTA -- Even when Ronald Acuña Jr. comes up just short, he’s still in position to do something great.

During the first inning of the Braves' 4-1 loss, Acuña added another defensive highlight to his portfolio when he alertly took advantage of Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette’s aggressive turn around first base. Bichette accelerated once he saw his sinking line drive drop just under the Braves right fielder’s glove.

Acuña quickly righted himself, scurried to the ball that came to rest a few feet away and made an 83.4 mph throw to first base that Freddie Freeman snared before tagging a diving Bichette. A replay review confirmed the out call.
