Moustakas, Hosmer among players to attend Royals FanFest

KANSAS CITY -- Many Royals have committed to attending the Royals FanFest on Jan. 27-28 at the Kansas City Convention Center.
Third baseman Mike Moustakas, first baseman Eric Hosmer, and infielders Christian Colón and Whit Merrifield are the latest to confirm that they will be in attendance.
Left-hander Danny Duffy, who recently signed a five-year $65 million extension, will also attend.
Several pitchers who are expected to be major factors in 2017 -- Chris Young, Matt Strahm, Kelvin Herrera, Kyle Zimmer, Alec Mills, Scott Alexander and Kevin McCarthy -- have indicated they will attend.
Newcomers Nate Karns, a right-hander acquired for Jarrod Dyson from Seattle, is confirmed, as is Peter O'Brien, a potential power hitter acquired from Arizona. Outfielder Paulo Orlando also indicated he will attend.
A full list is expected to be announced next week.
The event will feature autograph sessions with current and former Royals, interactive games for fans of all ages, main-stage programming and more. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Royals Charities.
