Padres-Rockies delayed in ninth due to storm

DENVER -- Friday night's Padres-Rockies game has been delayed by a sudden storm that hit Coors Field during the top of the ninth inning, with the Padres ahead, 7-5.
The game is scheduled to resume at 10:20 p.m. MT/9:20 p.m. PT.
San Diego's Adam Rosales led off the ninth with a pinch-hit single, and manager Walt Weiss had decided to replace pitcher Germán Márquez with Boone Logan when it started hailing, which later turned to rain.
Minutes earlier, the Rockies had asked fans in the upper deck and Rockpile sections to move to the concourse because of lightning in the area.
