Striker Pence, flamethrowing nephew of Hunter, reclassifies to '27 Draft class

Striker Pence, ranked by Baseball America as the No. 1 prospect in the 2028 high school class, announced on Thursday that he is reclassifying to be eligible for the 2027 MLB Draft.
Pence is the nephew of 14-year big leaguer and 4-time MLB All-Star Hunter Pence.
The 17-year-old Pence is a right-handed pitcher out of Santiago High School in Corona, CA. Pence, who stands at 6-foot-6, can touch 101 mph with his high-octane fastball. He rounds out his arsenal with a slider and a splitter.
Though he is best known for his prowess on the mound, Pence is also a left-handed-hitting first baseman who has demonstrated plus power throughout his high school career.
