Father’s Day is tomorrow. Generations of stars have followed in their father’s footsteps to reach the Major Leagues. Bobby and Barry Bonds combined for an astonishing 1,094 home runs. Ken Griffey Sr. and Ken Griffey Jr. played 51 games together as teammates.
In today’s game, young stars like Bobby Witt Jr., Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Jackson Holliday and plenty more took after their father’s career. But which father-son duo finished with the same home run total? That mark belongs to Cecil Fielder and Prince Fielder, who each tallied 319 home runs.
How about that?

That's just one topic presented for your enjoyment on the latest episode of "This Week in Baseball." Episodes first become available on Fridays at noon ET on MLB's X account, and are available on MLB.com and MLB.TV the following day.
The episode continues this season's revival of the classic series, which debuted in 1977 as a 30-minute show and ran through 1998. An initial revival followed from 2000-11 before a 15-year hiatus.
Originally hosted by Hall of Fame broadcaster Mel Allen with his signature "How about that?!" catchphrase, the original "TWIB" served as appointment viewing for millions of fans in the days before baseball highlights were readily available with just a few scrolls.
Airing each Friday, this new version is hosted by Kait Maniscalco and carries a similar vibe to the famous originals, but with a modern flourish. It was developed by the Emmy-winning MLB Studios and is produced in collaboration with the Emmy-winning MLB Network. But just like the original version, this short-form iteration of "TWIB" exists to give fans a fast-paced and fun way to follow the latest news and happenings from around the league.
Catch highlights from the previous week, player profiles, historical flashbacks, bloopers, the iconic "TWIB Notes" and more. And, of course, stick around until the end for a closing montage set to that classic "This Week in Baseball" theme.
