PHOENIX -- Three players with ties to the D-backs -- right-handers Curt Schilling and Livan Hernandez along with second baseman Orlando Hudson -- are listed on the 2018 Baseball Writers' Association of America ballot which was released on Monday.
A player must receive 75 percent of the vote in order to be enshrined and Schilling has come up short in his previous five years on the ballot.
This will be the first time that Hernandez and Hudson have appeared on the ballot. A player remains on the ballot for 10 years provided that they garner at least 5 percent of the vote, which will likely be hard for Hernandez and Hudson to do.

Schilling got a high of 52.3 percent of the vote in 2016, but that dropped to 45 percent last year.
Schilling was dealt from the Phillies to the D-backs in 2000, and he was paired atop the rotation with Randy Johnson. The pair of aces led the D-backs to the 2001 World Series championship and shared the series MVP honors.
In 2001-02, Schilling went a combined 45-13 with a 3.10 ERA and finished second in the NL Cy Young Award voting both years to Johnson. Schilling finished his time with the D-backs 58-28 with a 3.14 ERA in 108 games. For his career, he was 216-146 with a 3.46 ERA.
Hernandez made 43 starts for the D-backs in 2006-07. He pitched for nine teams over a 17-year career and compiled a 178-177 record with a 4.44 ERA.
Hernandez's biggest moments in the game came in 1997 whe he won the Most Valuable Player honors in both the National League Championship Series and the World Series while helping pitch the Marlins to a championship.
Hudson played for the D-backs from 2006-08 and had an OPS+ of 105 over that span. Over an 11-year career with six teams, he slashed .273/.341/.412 and was known as a defensive wizard at second base, earning four Gold Gloves.
