VIERA, Fla. -- Anibal Sanchez, who has been battling right triceps inflammation, threw a 25-pitch bullpen session Saturday morning.
Sanchez has also been sidelined with bronchial illness recently and barely had a voice at the Tigers' complex in Lakeland.

"His arm felt good," Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. "He's still a little congested, but he threw it anyway. No inflammation. Nothing."
It was Sanchez's first bullpen session being diagnosed with inflammation Feb. 22 after shoulder issues limited him to just 25 starts last season. If he does not feel any pain during the next few days, he will likely throw another bullpen session, then move on to live batting practice before he appears in a Grapefruit League game.
"We've got some time to make the progression," Ausmus said.
