Tigers-Nats rained out Tuesday, twin bill on Wednesday

WASHINGTON -- The Tigers-Nationals series opener on Tuesday evening was postponed because of inclement weather. The teams will play a split doubleheader on Wednesday at Nationals Park.

Game 1 (the rescheduled game from Tuesday) will begin at 1:05 p.m. ET. Game 2 will begin at its originally scheduled time of 6:45 p.m. ET.

For the Tigers, left-hander Tyler Holton will start Game 1 and right-hander Jack Flaherty will start Game 2. The Nationals will counter with Trevor Williams and MacKenzie Gore, respectively.

Detroit owns a 12-10 advantage in the Interleague matchup, but Washington is 6-5 in games played at Nationals Park.
