Here's‌ ‌a‌ ‌look‌ ‌at‌ ‌Thursday’s‌ ‌top‌ ‌Minor‌ ‌League‌ ‌performers‌ ‌from‌ ‌each‌ ‌team's‌ ‌Top‌ ‌30‌ ‌Prospects‌ ‌list:‌

Yankees: Anthony Volpe, SS (MLB No. 15), High-A Hudson Valley
Trey Sweeney, SS (No. 7), Low-A Tampa
After batting .268 in August, Volpe got off to a strong start in September. Volpe homered, doubled and drove in two runs in the Renegades' 10-7 loss to the Grasshoppers. The home run was Volpe’s 23rd of the season and third in his past four games. He has batted .324 in his past 10 games and has continued to find success at the plate since moving up from Low-A Tampa on May 2. The Yankees’ top prospect has batted .303, with a 1.014 OPS and has hit 12 doubles in his 39 games since making the leap to High-A.

Sweeney, the Yankees' 1st-round pick in the 2021 Draft, homered, tripled and drove in two runs in Tampa’s 9-6 loss to Bradenton. The homer was Sweeney’s fifth for Tampa since debuting in Low-A on Aug. 4. Through his first 79 professional at-bats in time with both the FCL Yankees and Tampa, Sweeney has slashed .270/.407/.622 with six homers, 13 RBIs and 16 walks. Yankees prospect stats »

Cardinals: Nolan Gorman, INF (MLB No. 25), Triple-A Memphis
Multi-hit games have seemingly become a regular thing for Gorman of late. The Cardinals’ top prospect went 4-for-5 and drove in a run on Thursday marking his seventh multi-hit performance in his past 12 games. The four hits matched a season-high which Gorman has done twice for Memphis and twice for Double-A Springfield this season. In his past 12 games, Gorman is batting .418 and has driven in 11 runs. Pirates: Quinn Priester, RHP (MLB No. 52), High-A Greensboro
The Pirates’ top pitching prospect continued his solid season by throwing six scoreless innings in Game 2 of Greensboro’s split doubleheader against Hudson Valley. Priester, who has a 2.67 ERA for the Grasshoppers, has had back-to-back scoreless outings of six innings or more. Priester has a 2.10 ERA over his past six starts and has struck out 44 batters across 36 innings in that span. Pirates prospect stats »

Blue Jays: Zach Logue, LHP (No. 27), Triple-A Buffalo
Logue put together a strong bounce-back outing as he threw five scoreless innings and struck out five on Thursday against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The lefty came into his start coming off a five-inning, six-run outing on Aug. 26, but allowed just three hits in his start against the RailRiders. Logue came into the outing with a 3.97 ERA in his past 12 outings (11 starts) in Triple-A. Before debuting for the Bisons this season, Logue had a 4.54 ERA in 35 2/3 innings in Double-A. Giants: Kyle Harrison, LHP (No. 5), Low-A San Jose
Harrison was almost untouchable on Thursday night. The left-hander set a career-high in strikeouts with 12 as he threw five shutout innings and allowed two hits and two walks against Visalia. Harrison, who has a 3.49 ERA in 2021, posted a 2.33 ERA in 19 1/3 innings in August and has struck out a total of 45 batters over his past 25 1/3 innings for San Jose. Cleveland: Peyton Battenfield, RHP (No. 17), Double-A Akron
Cody Morris, RHP (No. 22), Triple-A Columbus
Jhonkensy Noel, 1B/3B (No. 25), High-A Lake County
Battenfield, who was acquired on July 30 in a trade with the Rays, has been effective since arriving in Akron and continued that success Thursday night. The right-hander threw six scoreless innings and allowed four hits and one walk while striking out six batters. Battenfield worked well with traffic on the bases as he stranded six Altoona runners before his night was over. Since arriving in Akron, Battenfield has a 1.69 ERA in his past 26 2/3 innings. He had a 2.72 ERA in 36 1/3 innings with Double-A Montgomery while in the Rays organization this season.

Through his first five starts since moving up to Triple-A, Morris has pitched with success. Morris threw five scoreless innings and allowed one hit while striking out seven batters in Thursday’s 8-1 win over St. Paul. The right-hander allowed a two-out walk in the first inning, but retired 12 of the next 13 batters, yielding just a single before his night was over. Since debuting with the Clippers on Aug. 8, the 24-year-old has a 1.33 ERA across 20 1/3 innings and has collected 25 strikeouts.

Noel, who hit 11 home runs and slugged .693 in 38 games for Low-A Lynchburg, belted a pair of homers during Lake County’s 8-5 win over South Bend. Noel hit a solo homer to left field in the first inning, then his second homer over the center-field wall during the fourth inning as he went 3-for-5 with two RBIs. After posting a .393 average and a 1.119 OPS in Low-A, Noel has continued to be a presence at the plate in High-A. Mariners: Matt Brash, RHP (No. 10), Double-A Arkansas
Through his first six innings of work, Brash was perfect. He struck out the first five batters he faced then got through six perfect innings before walking a batter to begin the seventh. The leadoff walk signaled the end of the righty’s night after throwing six-plus scoreless innings and striking out 11 batters. The 11 strikeouts tied a season-high, which Brash has matched twice in 2021. Brash has a 1.64 ERA in 44 innings for Arkansas this season. Nationals: Jeremy De La Rosa, OF (No. 13), Low-A Fredericksburg Evan Lee, LHP (No. 27), High-A Wilmington
In the midst of a down offensive season, De La Rosa had his strongest showing at the plate. The 19-year-old set a career-high in total bases with nine as he went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run and three RBIs in Fredericksburg’s 7-6 loss to Salem. De La Rosa is batting .199 on the season and came into Thursday’s action slashing .233/.313/.333 over his past 16 games

Lee matched a season high in innings as he allowed one hit across six scoreless frames and struck out seven batters against Brooklyn. After allowing a leadoff single in the third inning, Lee retired 11 of the next 12 batters he faced, allowing just one walk in that span. The outing was one of Lee’s strongest of the year and gives the lefty a strong start to September after pitching well in August. Lee, who has a 4.43 ERA in 2021, posted a 3.32 ERA across 19 innings in August and held hitters to a .156 average to go along with a 1.00 WHIP last month. Nationals prospect stats »
