Mets outfielder Tyrone Taylor continued his rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday night, going 1-for-4 with an RBI while playing all nine innings in center field.
Taylor has been on the IL since May 26 with a right hip flexor strain.
Taylor began his rehab assignment on June 19 with Double-A Binghamton. He’s hitting .467 (7-for-15) through four rehab games between Double-A and Triple-A.
The 32-year-old is hitting .186 with a .530 OPS in 43 games (24 starts) for the Mets this season.
Infielder Ronny Mauricio was also in the lineup alongside Taylor. Mauricio was reinstated from the IL, returned from his rehab assignment and optioned to Triple-A Syracuse earlier on Wednesday. He had been sidelined since May 3 with a fractured left thumb.
