Washington Nationals Expand Coverage Across Mid-Atlantic with WTTG FOX 5 and Gray Media Partnerships

Watching the Washington Nationals just got even easier. Through partnerships with WTTG FOX 5 and Gray Media, 10 regular-season games will be simulcast live on free, over-the-air television in Washington, D.C. and additional outer markets, reaching millions of households in the DMV and beyond.

The Nationals’ exclusive local over-the-air partner, WTTG FOX 5 will produce expanded local pregame shows with host Chad Ricardo for each simulcast leading in to Nationals.TV game broadcasts called by play-by-play announcer Dan Kolko, analyst Kevin Frandsen and host and reporter Alexa Datt. The schedule of over-the-air simulcasts is below.

“We are so excited to partner with WTTG FOX 5 and Gray Media to deliver Nationals games via free, over-the-air television,” said Washington Nationals President of Business Operations Jason Sinnarajah. “Whether you’re in the Washington, D.C., area or elsewhere in the Mid-Atlantic, it’s easier than ever to tune in and cheer for your hometown team.”

FOX 5 will also serve as the Nationals’ Weather Day partner, which welcomes local school children for an afternoon of interactive education and baseball, this year held on Thursday, May 7. FOX 5 will also provide radar and other meteorological updates during weather delays this season, helping keep fans informed on the status of inclement weather.

“We are proud to partner with the Washington Nationals to televise select games this season. Between game day forecasts, pregame programming, and live games, FOX 5 remains committed to delivering expanded coverage that reflects the passion and pride of Nats fans to bring them closer to their hometown team,” added Sue Diviney, Senior Vice President and General Manager of FOX 5 and FOX 5 Plus.

Gray Media will simulcast the same 10 games across several of its stations inside the Nationals home television territory, providing over-the-air access to more than 3.2 million television households across the Mid-Atlantic region. Game coverage on Gray Media stations will begin at the same time as Nationals.TV broadcasts.

“Our Virginia and North Carolina markets are full of Nationals fans who will love watching their team free, over-the-air,” said Sandy Breland, Gray’s Chief Operating Officer. “We appreciate the opportunity to work with the team and Nationals.TV to broaden the reach of America’s pastime from our nation’s capital.”
