Leake, Lester to stoke rivalry on MLB.TV

Dexter Fowler celebrated his return to Wrigley Field in style on Friday, blasting a leadoff home run against his former mates at his former home park. It was an emphatic start to the latest chapter in the century-long history between the Cubs and Cardinals, a rivalry that continues today on MLB.TV.
Both St. Louis and Chicago are jumbled in the indecisive National League Central, looking up at the first-place Brewers. But both clubs are clearly contenders, and as usual, any matchup between them remains appointment viewing.
Mike Leake, who leads the NL with a 2.24 ERA, opposes perennial Cy Young Award candidate Jon Lester (3-3, 3.86 ERA) at 2:20 p.m. ET in what should be a classic afternoon of North Side Chicago baseball.
The Cubs squeezed out a 3-2 win in the series opener on Friday. They hold a 4-3 edge on the season series after winning 10 of 19 against the Cardinals a year ago.

Imagine this question, asked on Opening Day: Which team -- Dodgers or Brewers -- would lead its division in June? Almost everyone would have said the Dodgers. But it's the Brewers that enter this weekend a first-place club.
It's not like the Dodgers aren't contenders. They've had to overcome a slew of injuries and are still coming off a very solid May, over which Cody Bellinger solidified himself as a rookie sensation.
Bellinger will likely be in the lineup against right-hander Matt Garza, who has been cautious with lefties like Bellinger early this season. The Brewers' righty has walked six lefties and struck out nine. By contrast, he's walked two right-handed hitters whiling striking out 22. Rich Hill (2-2, 4.09 ERA) takes the ball for Los Angeles.

Price is right: BOS@BAL, 7:15 p.m.
David Price did not dominate in his first start of the season, and he toes the rubber in Baltimore in start No. 2 searching for his first win. Price's season was delayed by nearly two months due to elbow soreness, but now the Red Sox have both halves of their two-headed monster atop the rotation.
Price matches up against Dylan Bundy (6-3, 2.89 ERA), who looks to continue his breakout season atop the Orioles' rotation.

We love Lance -- a lot: HOU@TEX, 7:15 p.m.
Lance McCullers Jr. takes the ball for Houston as it continues its series against its interstate and division rivals. It will be McCullers' first start since being named AL Pitcher of the Month for May. The righty is 4-0 with a 0.99 ERA over his past six starts, over which he's allowed just four earned runs and struck out 37 batters in 36 1/3 innings. He'll duel Texas' Andrew Cashner (2-2, 2.94 ERA).
