    Team to watch
The Mets got a lot of help from their farm system in 2015, so it stands to reason that you should keep an eye on who will be next in 2016. That means checking out the Triple-A club in Las Vegas, where seven members of the Top 30 will play. Gavin Cecchini is the only Top 100 representative there, but he's joined by Mets' top five prospect Brandon Nimmo and No. 10 Matt Reynolds. There may not be a Steven Matz or Noah Syndergaard on the cusp, but there are a bevy of arms who could lend a hand in New York this season.

    New faces
They're a long ways away from contributing in New York, but the Mets will welcome in two recent additions via the international amateur market into the organization. Both Andres Gimenez and Gregory Guerrero received seven figures to sign last July 2. The two shortstops should get their careers started in the Dominican Summer League.
    On the shelf
Shortstop Luis Carpio will miss the 2016 season following surgery to repair a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder. Right-hander Marcos Molina is rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. He's going to miss most, if not all, of the season as well.
