David Robertson, who has been expecting his second child with his wife Erin, has been placed on the paternity list, the White Sox announced Monday.
The White Sox closer, who has a 3.00 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 30 innings over 27 appearances this season, including 12 saves in 13 chances, can come off the paternity list after one day or remain on it for up to three days.
In a corresponding move Monday, Chicago recalled right-hander Gregory Infante from Triple-A Charlotte. The 29-year-old was previously with the big league club from May 15 to June 25 and made 19 appearances, with a 4.79 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 20 2/3 innings.
