Surprise reunion for family of Army Sergeant

The White Sox defeated the Pirates on Wednesday night, 6-3, at Guaranteed Rate Field. But the moment of the game didn’t come from anyone on the field. No, that was provided by U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Daniel LaCosse.

LaCosse was honored by the White Sox with a presentation during the game with his family in attendance. What his family didn’t know is that LaCosse, who has served two tours in Iraq and spent the past year stationed in Kuwait, was standing right behind them.

LaCosse’s surprise reunion with his wife and two children was understandably emotional.

Welcome home, Sergeant.
