Brennan, Webb, Guerrero sent down; Olt released

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The White Sox made their second round of cuts of the spring on Tuesday, moving four players out of Major League camp to reduce the roster number to 50.
The club shifted right-handers Brandon Brennan and Daniel Webb to Triple-A Charlotte, reassigned left-hander Jordan Guerrero to Minor League camp and released infielder Mike Olt. The moves leave the White Sox with 23 pitchers, four catchers, 13 infielders and 10 outfielders in Major League camp.
Brennan, a fourth-round Draft pick in 2012 who made 12 starts for Class A Winston-Salem in an injury-marred 2015 campaign, made two appearances this spring, allowing two hits and striking out two in two innings. He is ranked No. 20 among White Sox prospects by MLBPipeline.com.
Webb, who made 27 appearances for the White Sox in a 2015 season split with Triple-A, gave up eight earned runs in 6 2/3 innings. He yielded a homer against the Royals on Monday.
Guerrero, rated the No. 6 prospect in the White Sox system, allowed four earned runs in one inning over two outings in Cactus League play.
Olt was designated for assignment on March 6 when Chicago signed outfielder Austin Jackson, and he was released after going 2-for-11 in seven Cactus League games.
