Snagging a foul ball at an MLB game is always a special moment, but getting to celebrate with a loved one? That’s truly priceless.
One young fan got to do both during Tuesday’s Marlins-Rockies contest at Coors Field. After winding up with a ball during the ninth inning of Miami’s 14-3 win, the youngster sprinted up the aisle and jumped into the arms of a family member in exultation.
Sporting a glove as well as a big smile, the broadcast caught her explaining the moment in detail, clearly excited despite her team’s big deficit -- and who could blame her?
Rockies play-by-play commentator Drew Goodman summed it up well: “That made my night.”
