Atlanta Braves will donate $100,000 to tornado relief efforts in southwest Georgia and east Alabama

The Atlanta Braves will donate $100,000 to tornado relief efforts to help those affected in Southeast Georgia and East Alabama last weekend. The team has also launched an online auction at www.braves.com/relief with all proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross in their tornado relief efforts. The auction is live now and will end at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 27.

“We were heartbroken to see the devastation caused by the tornado on Sunday and want to help the relief efforts for Southeast Georgia and East Alabama,” said Derek Schiller, Atlanta Braves President and CEO. “We encourage our fans to donate to the Red Cross to help our neighbors in Braves Country in the recovery process. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with those who are affected.”
