Blue Jays sign Soriano

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have signed RHP RAFAEL SORIANO to a minor league contract with an invite to Major League spring training.
SORIANO, 36, signed with the Cubs on June 9 and appeared in just six contests during the 2015 season. The San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic native has posted 40+ saves on three occasions, including a league leading 45 for Tampa in 2010. A veteran of 14 seasons, Soriano has posted a 24-28 record with a 2.89 ERA and 207 saves for six different clubs (SEA, ATL, TB, NYY, WAS, CIN).
