BY POPULAR DEMAND, WHITE SOX ANNOUNCE BALLPARK-WIDE SOX POPE HAT GIVEAWAY SCHEDULED AUGUST 11

CHICAGO – Due to overwhelming fan demand, the White Sox today announced the White Sox Pope Hat is now a giveaway item scheduled to be distributed to all fans who attend the game on Tuesday, August 11 vs. Cincinnati at 6:40 p.m.

The item was initially offered exclusively to specialty theme night ticket purchasers. Fans who have already purchased through the special offer now will receive both the White Sox Pope Hat and an additional themed item on Tuesday, August 11. Additional details will be communicated directly to those purchasers in the coming weeks. Single-game tickets are still available at whitesox.com/promos.

“The fans have spoken, and unlike some of our more limited quantity promotions, the White Sox Pope Hat is one we believe all fans should have the opportunity to take home,” said Brooks Boyer, White Sox chief revenue and marketing officer. “We viewed the promotion as a creative way to celebrate one of the franchise’s most popular fans, and by the overwhelming response we received, White Sox fans certainly agreed.”

Rate Field’s Box Office is open to fans on non-gamedays, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For all White Sox home games, the Box Office opens at 9 a.m. and closes 90 minutes following the game’s scheduled first pitch.
