Citi Field Named Winner of the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Baseball Stadium Food 

This Marks the Fourth Consecutive Year Citi Field has Been Recognized for its Outstanding Ballpark Cuisine

FLUSHING, N.Y., March 25, 2026 – The New York Mets have been named the winner in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest for Best Baseball Stadium Food. Citi Field’s nomination was chosen by a panel of subject matter experts before being voted on by the public online.

Citi Field has now been recognized for its food for four consecutive years, earning Best Stadium Food in 2023 and Best Baseball Stadium Food in both 2024 and 2025, with this year’s honor continuing that streak.

As part of Citi Field’s ongoing culinary excellence, the ballpark will feature a roster of notable celebrity chefs in 2026 including: returning chefs, Judy Joo, Adam Richman and Kwame Onwuachi, and new for this year, Mets legend, Mookie Wilson is presenting ‘Legacy Catering by Mookie Wilson and Family’.

“Winning Best Ballpark Food for the fourth straight year is something we don’t take lightly, but we’ll definitely celebrate it with something delicious,” said Mets Vice President of Ballpark Experience James Benesh. “The fact that this is voted on by our fans makes it even more special. From iconic favorites to over-the-top new creations, our team is always looking for ways to innovate while bringing passion and creativity to our culinary offerings. Some returning ballpark favorites include Pat LaFrieda’s Original Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich, Shake Shack, Metropolitan Fry Factory and more.

This year’s menu has 37 new cuisine items to try, including a few highlights:

“Since joining in 2016, my team and I have been driven by the opportunity to push boundaries by combining modern techniques with high-quality, thoughtfully sourced ingredients to reinterpret classic favorites everyone enjoys at the ballpark,” said Aramark Senior Executive Chef Jason Eksterowicz, who oversees culinary operations at Citi Field. “To see that approach resonate with fans year-after-year is incredibly rewarding, and it motivates us to keep innovating and delivering something special every season.”
