Corbin Carroll Named National League Player of the Week
D-backs’ OF Corbin Carroll was named National League Player of the Week (August 10-16) for the third time in his career (also: June 5-11, 2023 and Aug. 26-Sept. 1, 2024). He is the third D-back to earn the honor this season, joining Ildemaro Vargas (April 20-26) and Ketel Marte (May 18-24).
It is the third time in franchise history where 3 different D-backs position players earned the weekly honor in a season, joining 1999 (Jay Bell, Matt Williams, Steve Finley) and 2019 (Eduardo Escobar, Nick Ahmed, Ketel Marte).

Hit his 100th career homer in his 606th career game on August 12 vs. Rockies to become the fastest player in MLB history to reach 50+ triples (57), 100+ homers (100) and 100+ stolen bases (139) and the second player in MLB history to do so within 700 career games, joining Willie Mays (673 G: 50 3B, 164 HR and 104 SB).
Hit his league-leading 14th and 15th triples of the season on Aug. 12 vs. Rockies and Aug. 15 @ Braves, 8 more than the second highest total (4 players tied with 7 triples)…became the first player since Carl Crawford (2004-06) and José Reyes (‘05-06) with consecutive 15+-triple seasons and just the fifth player in the Divisional Era (since 1969) to record multiple seasons of 15+ triples at age 25-or-younger, joining Crawford (3x: 2004-06); Reyes (3x: 2005-06 & 2008); Hall of Famer Jim Rice (1977-78); and Garry Templeton (1977 & 1979) [source: MLB PR].
