D-backs Award Trent Youngblood and Junior Ciprian with June Monthly Honors

The Arizona Diamondbacks named High-A Hillsboro OF Trent Youngblood and Single-A Visalia RHP Junior Ciprian the organization’s Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Month for June.

• Reached base safely in 16 of his 19 games with the Hops, including reaching 2+ times in 11 straight games to begin the month and 15 contests overall, hitting .382 (21-for-55)/1.104 OPS with 2 doubles, 1 triple, 2 homers, 11 RBI, 18 walks and 6 stolen bases.
• Ranked among High-A June leaders [min. 15 G] in OBP (2nd, .541), AVG (8th, .382), fewest strikeouts (T-9th, 9) and OPS (10th, 1.104).
• Ranked among Northwest League June leaders [min. 15 G] in OBP (1st, .541), AVG (2nd, .382), fewest strikeouts (T-2nd, 9), OPS (3rd, 1.104), walks (3rd, 18), stolen bases (T-5th, 6) and SLG (10th, .564).
