Dodgers Activate Brock Stewart

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers activated right-handed pitcher Brock Stewart from the injured list and optioned left-handed pitcher Jake Eder to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Stewart, 34, will make his season debut after missing all 36 games this season. He joined the Dodgers last season on July 31 from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for outfielder James Outman. He appeared in four games before missing the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. He began his career with the Dodgers in 2016, making five starts (seven games), going 2-2 with a 5.79 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 28 innings. He is in his eighth Major League season, spending parts with the Dodgers (2016-19, 2025-), Toronto Blue Jays (2019) and Twins (2023-25) and he is 10-5 with a 4.48 ERA with 190 strikeouts in 186.2 innings. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the sixth round of the 2014 First Year Player Draft out of Illinois State University.

Eder, 27, made four appearances for the Dodgers, allowing one run in four innings. He was acquired from the Nationals on April 1 for cash considerations. He made his Major League debut on September 17, 2024 as a member of the Chicago White Sox, allowing one run in two innings. In 13 Major League games, he is 1-0 with a 4.44 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 24.1 innings. The former Vanderbilt Commodore was drafted in the fourth round of the 2020 First Year Player Draft by the Miami Marlins and has pitched in 72 minor league games, going 10-29 with a 5.35 ERA and 356 strikeouts in 312.2 innings.
