Dodgers Recall Bobby Miller
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller and placed right-handed pitcher Edgardo Henriquez on the injured list with low back discomfort.
Miller, 27, returns for his second stint with the club after recording a win on September 6 against the Nationals with three innings of relief work (1 ER, 2 SO). He has been in the Majors parts of four seasons with Los Angeles, posting a 14-8 record and a 5.40 ERA. He had a banner season in 2023, setting career marks in wins (11), starts (22), ERA (3.76), innings pitched (124.1), strikeouts (119) and WHIP (1.10). He was the Dodgers’ first round pick in 2020, selected 29th overall from the University of Louisville.
Henriquez, 24, allowed two runs yesterday against the Marlins in 0.2 innings. He has made 61 appearances this season, with a 4-1 record 2.85 ERA. He is in his third season with the Dodgers, striking out 94 batters in 82.1 innings with a 2.73 ERA and a 6-2 record. He was signed by the Dodgers on September 25, 2018 as an international free agent out of Cumana, Venezuela.
