Dodgers to host Pirates this weekend

The Los Angeles Dodgers return home tomorrow and will take on the Pittsburgh Pirates during a three-game homestand this Friday-Sunday at Dodger Stadium.

The weekend kicks off with Friday Night Fireworks presented by Denny’s and UCLA Night presented by UCLA Health on Friday, which includes a national anthem performance from UCLA gymnastics alumnae. Fans can also purchase the UCLA Night ticket pack, which includes an exclusive Dodgers/UCLA lightweight hoodie, at Dodgers.com/UCLA.

The series will be highlighted by Saturday’s Legends of Dodger Baseball induction ceremony and bobblehead giveaway presented by 76 in honor of the late Don Newcombe_._ Fans should plan to arrive early for the induction ceremony, which begins at roughly 5:40 p.m., as the club honors Newcombe’s career and impact on the franchise, both on and off the field. Steve Garvey (June 1) and Fernando Valenzuela (July 20) will join Newcombe in the inaugural class of _Legends of Dodger Baseball_, and will be inducted later this year.

Sunday’s game will feature both pre- and post-game family fun with the first Viva Los Dodgers presented by Spectrum and Coca-Cola of the season and the opportunity for kids to run the bases following the 1:10 p.m. game. Alex Verdugo and Manny Mota are scheduled to make appearances at Viva Los Dodgers, which celebrates the Latino culture in Los Angeles and the legacy of Latino Dodgers past and present. The free family-friendly festival includes live music and giveaways, and starts at 11:00 a.m. at the Historic 76 Station in Lot 6.
