Indians promote RHP Jefry Rodriguez from Triple-A Columbus

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced the following transactions relative to the 2019 Major League roster:

Recalled RHP JEFRY RODRIGUEZ (#68) from AAA Columbus.

Optioned RHP CODY ANDERSON to AAA Columbus.

Rodriguez, 25, will be making his second Major League start of the season this afternoon vs. the Miami Marlins in Progressive Field. The 6-6 right-hander made his club debut on April 13 in Kansas City, allowing two runs over 5.2 innings. Around his April 13 start, he has posted a 6.97 ERA in two Triple-A starts for the Columbus Clippers (10.1IP, 10H, 8R.ER, 4BB, 9SO, .244 avg.).
